I am behind on my reading of the February Magnificat – I just read the “Meditation of the Day” for February 3rd by Elisabeth LeSeur, “a French married laywoman whose cause for canonization is underway.”   She died in 1914.   Her words certainly gave me pause:

Faith, Ethics, Logic, Public discourse

I am inspired to write this note to you as a crisis pregnancy center volunteer because you can’t help but be involved in the abortion debate.  But go ahead and FELP (faith, ethics, logic, rules of public discourse) in other areas as well.

40 Days for Life is an effort to save lives through vigils of prayer, often outside  an existing facility.  It has been quite successful in the past and hopefully will be again in the future.  At our Respect Life workshop last spring, a local person talked about a success they had had here in the cities in causing a local hospital to stop offering abortions.
