I first met Luigi at a coffee after Mass.  He told me how he kept in touch with his relatives in the Philippines via Facebook so I knew he was into computers.  Another time I saw him surreptiously take a picture of Fr. Denny at Mass.  And I bought some of his gourmet spreads last December when the parish had the stewardship sale after the Masses.

The education and respect life committees  provided the complimentary soup supper on the second Friday of Lent at 6:30 PM between the English and Spanish stations.  There were about 80 people there, somewhat fewer than the previous week when the Hispanic community provided the food.  We wish more of them had been at the supper; it was our chance to return their wonderful hospitality.

On the Fridays during Lent there are Stations of the Cross at 6 PM in English and at 7 PM in Spanish with a free soup supper between the two at 6:30 served by one or two of the church committees. (more…)
