Romans 12:2 Do not conform yourself to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that you may discern what is God’s will, what is good, pleasing and perfect.

In our last session, we mentioned that God created each of us with an inner guide, a “law written in our hearts” (Jeremiah 31:33) which we call Conscience that helps us know right from wrong.  If we follow our conscience we will have Peace in our heart.  If we don’t, we will experience Guilt.

Mara Mangan — our parish’s Director of Faith Formation — just wrapped-up a two day retreat (one overnight) with our 10th grade confirmation students this past weekend. The retreat was held at the Mt. Olivet retreat center just up the road in Farmington — a quiet, peaceful place out in the country.

This year’s retreat was titled, “Strength: God Provides”, with a focus on spiritual gifts.
